Southpark Mall To Begin Renovations

Β CHARLOTTE, NC — Southpark Mall is getting a facelift. Β The goal: keep people coming.
Renovations to the inside and outside of the mall will start this month. Β You can expect new seating and floors, better WiFi, and cosmetic upgrades to the food court. Β There are also plans for new landscaping and a new valet stand at the main entrance on Sharon Road.
“It’s all about evolving in the marketplace and remaining a shopping and dining destination, and we’re really excited about it,” said Director of Marketing and Business Development Nicole Kennon.
The last renovation was in 2004. Β Mall management says shoppers should not be inconvenienced. Β The improvements are expected to be completed by the holiday shopping season.
