Gastonia Suspect Charged With Attempted 2nd Degree Murder In Custody

UPDATE: Gastonia Police have confirmed that Antoine Allen, Sr., has turned himself in to officials.

GASTONIA, NC — 3 missing children have been found safe in Charlotte, but Police are still searching for the suspect, Antoine Lamar Allen, Sr.

An amber alert was issued after police say Antoine Allen, Sr., assaulted his ex-wife, Nicole Allen, with a knife and took their three children.

The assault took place in a van on South New Hope Rd. around 5:30am this morning. Nicole Allen was transported to Caromont Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, and remains in critical condition.

The kids have been found safe in Charlotte, but Antoine Allen, Sr. is still missing.

Antoine is wanted for attempted second degree murder. He is described as a 32 year old black male, 5 feet 6 inches, 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. If you see him, please call Gastonia Police Department at 704-866-6702.
