CHARLOTTE, NC — The Charlotte Hornets are partnering to help military veterans train to get back into the workforce. The team, along with Sport South, made a $200,000 donation Monday to CPCC’s Veterans Employment Fund.
The money goes towards paid internships to help vets get job training while still earning money for their families.
“We want to show to the CPCC community that we are committed to the military service, that everything they do for us, we can’t do enough to say thanks,” said Hornets Chairman Michael Jordan.
Hornets employees also took part in a day of service Monday benefiting military veterans.
