Huntersville Residents Honor Charleston Victims

Β HUNTERSVILLE, NC — Huntersville residents gathered Wednesday night to remember the victims in the Charleston church attack. Β There was a prayer service at the Independence Hill Baptist Church. Β Organizers and those who attended say the tragedy hits home.
“First thing I thought about people I know who live in Charleston,” said east Charlotte resident Jacqueline Stewart. Β “Also, I thought about the victims and also the young man who actually did the shooting.”
The service was organized by the Jonahville AME Zion Church along with Independence Hill Baptist Church.
