Drug Tip Leads to Marijuana Seizure and Arrest

LINCOLNTON, NC – A man was arrested after deputies got an anonymous tip that drugs were being sold inside a Lincolnton home. Police responded to a residence on Bynum Road south of Lincolnton Tuesday.  During a search of the home, detectives found nearly three pounds of marijuana inside a refrigerator along with $1,100 in cash. 

Terrell Richard Sweet, 45, was charged with one felony count each of Possession with the Intent to Manufacture, Sell and Deliver a Controlled Substance Schedule VI, and Maintaining a Dwelling/Vehicle for a Controlled Substance.  He was also charged with one misdemeanor count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  He was processed at the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center and released after posting an $8,000 secured bond.
