It’s a Fourth of July party on the Edge, people!  That’s right, Lady Liberty will take over the Queen City on Saturday.  But if you want to set off fireworks yourself at home, there are some laws you need to be aware of…  So what fireworks are legal in North Carolina?  Let’s break it down.

Fireworks that are legal in this state include poppers, sparklers, fountains and novelty items that don’t explode, spin, leave the ground or fly through the air.  So what fireworks are illegal in North Carolina?  Firecrackers and fireworks that spin on the ground, Roman candles, bottle rockets, and any aerial fireworks.  Essentially, any firework that leaves the ground is illegal in this state.

But what do you think?  Should all fireworks be legal in North Carolina?
