COLUMBIA, SC – The debate over the Confederate Battle Flag moves inside the South Carolina State House Monday. In a special session, lawmakers will consider a bill to bring down the flag.
Senator Vincent Sheheen has introduced a bill that would move the battle flag to the Confederate Relic Room and Military Museum.
If that passes, it would go onto the House and could be on Governor Nikki Haley’s desk by the end of the week.
There is a chance that the bill could get tied up in committee though, which could push this debate on for weeks.
