SURF CITY, N.C. — Another shark attack was reported over the weekend at Surf City, according to a spokesperson at the Naval Hospital at Camp Lejeune. Β A Marine was treated and released at a military hospital after being attacked Saturday. Β
This is the second shark attack reported in Surf City this year. Β A total of eight shark attacks have been reported at North Carolina beaches so far this year.
Surf City Police are investigating the incident but they say they do not have an official report of a shark attack from the 4th of July weekend.
