LOVEΒ VALLEY, N.C. — Police say an altercation left a man seriously injured after a domestic assault.
Authorities say they responded to a call in reference to a fight in progress with a victim seriously hurt Sunday.
Upon arrival, officers found a man with serious injuries and was transported to Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem, NC.
After investigation, police determined that John Franklin Hooks, 45, arrived at the residence and found his wife with another man, this led to a physical altercation that left the victim with serious injuries.
Hooks was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and domestic assault on a female.
