MONROE, N.C.– Monroe Police say a man was shot and killed early Saturday morning in Monroe.
Officers responded to reports of a possible assault in the 500 block of East Hudson Street in Monroe around 1 a.m. Saturday. When they arrived, officers found a man dead near a vehicle in a parking area.
The man has been identified as Carrol Willis Griffin of Monroe.
