Lincolnton Man Arrested During Traffic Stop For Robbery

LINCOLNTON, N.C. — A man was arrested at a traffic stop for robbery.

Lincolnton Police Department officers did a traffic stop on a vehicle on Gaston Street Extension, Lincolnton. 

One passenger was identified as Dustin Everett Beam, AKA “Gator”.  Beam had a warrant for his arrest for common law robbery. 

Beam was taken into custody following the traffic stop.  Officers then searched Beam and found one gram of methamphetamine located in his shoe. The methamphetamine was taken as evidence. 

Beam was formally charged with Common Law Robbery and Possession of Methamphetamine.  Beam received a $105,000.00 secured bond and was placed in the Lincoln County Jail.  Beam has his next court appearance on July 23, 2015 in Lincoln County District Court. 

Beam has several prior felony drug convictions.
