UPDATE: The victim’s name is Kynyatta Tshiona. Police are still searching for suspects in the case.
CHARLOTTE, NC — Police are investigating a deadly shooting that took place early this morning on Rozzelles Ferry Road.
Police responded to a report of gunshots between Seldon Avenue and Rozzelles Ferry Road shortly after midnight. While heading to the scene they received an additional call for a single vehicle accident on the 2200 block of Rozzelles Ferry.
When officers arrived at the accident they found a car that had crashed into a light poll with a man inside suffering from gunshot wounds. The man was pronounced dead on the scene by medics.
Police are still searching for suspects, and are canvassing the area for any additional witnesses.
