The Edgitators: Do Breweries Draw Residents and Business?

You’ve heard of or probably been to one of Charlotte’s more than two dozen breweries. Saturday, Charlotte’s first cidery will open its doors. Red Clay Ciderworks in South End promises to add its hard cider flavor to the list of locally brewed crafts in the Charlotte area.
In South End alone, nearly one and a half million pints were produced last year. Charlotte Center City Partners says the brewery boom could even be influencing where people decide to live.
