
SALISBURY, NC — One person was killed early Friday morning after being hit by an Amtrak train in Salisbury.
The conductor says that around two o’clock this morning the victim walked out in front of the train and was hit.
The train was carrying over 200 passengers, with several of them heading to Charlotte, and was traveling from New York to New Orleans.
The victim has not yet been identified, and investigators are still looking into the incident.
The train is back on schedule after being delayed by the accident.
