WALLER COUNTY, TX — The death of a woman in police custody in Texas has been officially ruled suicide by hanging, something her family still refuses to accept.

Sandra Bland was found dead in a jail cell three days after being arrested during a traffic stop.

The Waller County prosecutor says Sandra Bland’s autopsy does not find any injuries consistent with a struggle.

It did find her to have about 30 cuts to her wrist that were at least two weeks old, and were likely self-inflicted.
