The Edgitators: Should NC Ban Confederate License Plates?

Debate over the “appropriateness” of Confederate symbols continues to rage in North Carolina.  Still, it remains to be seen how Governor Pat McCrory will respond to pressure coming from both sides.

Thursday, advocacy groups delivered a petition with more than 13,000 signatures to the Governor’s office, urging McCrory to stop the sale of license plates bearing the Confederate flag.

At the same time, a bill protecting historical monuments, including an unknown number of Confederate memorials, awaits McCrory’s signature after passing the House Tuesday.

And that brings us to our Question of the Night: Should the sale of Confederate license plates be banned in North Carolina?  The Edgitators battle it out…
