
CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte Fire Department responded to a “confined space rescue” call just before 7:30 this morning in the University area.
Officials say around 7:20am, a man was discovered in a 7 foot hole on the 200 block of Clark Blvd. It took responders about 20 minutes to free the man. He was then transported by medic to Charlotte Medical Center with potentially life threatening injuries.
No word yet on how the man became trapped, or why the hole was there.
