CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The bridge on Eastway Drive will reopen in September, according to an official at the Charlotte Department of Transportation.
The bridge has been closed between Howie Circle and Curtiswood Drive since May 2014 due to construction for the LYNX Blue Line Extension.
Motorists have been using Sugar Creek Road as a detour. The construction has caused significant traffic delays in the area since it began.
