CHARLOTTE, N.C.– Two people were shot Saturday while driving on Independence Boulevard. Β
Police say two people were driving a Ford Expedition in-bound on Independence Boulevard around 11 a.m. when a car traveling in the same direction shot at least once into their car. Β
Both occupants of the Expediton were transported to Carolinas Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries. Β
After the shooting, another car crashed into the Expedition. Β The driver of that car was transported to the hospital. Β
Police do not think this shooting was random and say the victims have not been cooperative with police. Β
Police say the suspect in the shooting may have been driving a black Chevy Impala.
