ROCK HILL, SC — There’s a bond hearing Wednesday morning for the father of an NFL player from our area facing attempted murder charges. David Morgan, the father of Jadeveon Clowney, is accused of firing shots outside a Rock Hill strip club.
Rock Hill Police say Morgan shot at an employee of the Crazy Horse on South Cherry Road around 2am. We’re told it happened after Morgan was taken out of the club for sitting on the stage.
“Mr. Morgan shot four or five times at the employees, didn’t hit anybody, and then the employee returned fire and shot Mr. Morgan somewhere in the shoulder area chest area,” says Captain Mark Bollinger of Rock Hill Police.
Police found Morgan at the hospital.
Clowney was the number one pick in the 2014 NFL draft. He graduated from South Pointe High School in Rock Hill. HE is on the inactive list for the Houston Texans.
