TEGA CAY, S.C. — Officials say they recovered the body of a man who drown on Lake Wylie.
Crews searched the area of Windjammer Beach Park in Tega Cay Monday evening but suspended their search until Tuesday morning.
Investigators say they recovered the body of the 19-year-old man who was trying to swim from the shore to an island when he went under and never resurfaced.
The victim’s friend was able to swim back to the shore and call for help.
