TEGA CAY, S.C. —Β Officials say they recovered the body of a man who drown on Lake Wylie.
Crews searched the area of Windjammer Beach Park in Tega Cay Monday evening but suspended their search until Tuesday morning. Β
Investigators say they recovered the body of the 19-year-old man who was trying to swim from the shore to an island when he went under and never resurfaced. Β
The victim’s friend was able to swim back to the shore and call for help. Β
