CHARLOTTE, NC– The Greater Charlotte Purple Heart Committee says they will honor Purple Heart recipients at a dinner on Saturday, August 15th.
The dinner will be held at Le Meridien hotel and will be the first of it’s kind to honor veterans publicly for their sacrifice and service.
This year’s event will include a pre-dinner reception exclusively for the Purple Heart
recipients, followed by a Walk of Honor where each honoree will be introduced with their
military branch years of service and where and how the Purple Heart was received.
Each honoree will be escorted by Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools Junior ROTC cadets.
