
UPDATE: Fire officials say an unattended burning candle is the cause of the apartment fire. The flames caused $75,000 in damage. The Red Cross is assisting the families that were affected by the fire.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Fire officials say one person was rescued from an apartment fire in east Charlotte.
The two alarm fire affected three apartments on the third-floor of the Wallace Woods Apartments on Wallace Road.
It took more than 40 firefighters to get the fire under control. The person who was rescued was not injured. There is no word on what caused the fire.
