CHARLOTTE, NC– An American Airlines plane reportedly lost a door prior to landing at Charlotte Douglas International Airport early Wednesday morning.
Reports say the Airbus A231 was carrying 146 passengers when it lost a panel door covering theΒ Β hydraulic servicing area during decent into the airport.
The plane reportedly landed safely around 8:44 a.m. and the door was recovered at a nearby golf course, according to several reports.
American Airline says they have reported the incident to the Federal Aviation Administration.
