BALTIMORE (AP) β€” Henry Urrutia (eh-ROO’-tee-uh) broke a ninth-inning tie with his first major league home run, and the Baltimore Orioles ended a nine-game losing streak against the New York Mets, 5-4. Jonathan Schoop (SKOHP) and Adam Jones also homered for the Orioles, who hadn’t defeated the Mets since June 18, 2009.

BALTIMORE (AP)β€” New York Mets third baseman David Wright is expected to be activated from the disabled list next week after missing four months with a back injury. New York manager Terry Collins says Wright will rejoin the team during its four-game series in Philadelphia that begins Monday.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) β€” Chase Utley is reuniting with Jimmy Rollins in Hollywood. The Philadelphia Phillies traded the six-time All-Star second baseman to the Los Angeles Dodgers for Triple-A outfielder Darnell Sweeney and Single-A right-hander John Richy.

NEW YORK (AP) β€” The judge in the “Deflategate” affair is warning the NFL he has authority to overturn the league’s four-game suspension of New England QB Tom Brady. Judge Richard Berman cited legal precedent for reversing arbitrators penalties like the one the NFL imposed on Brady, and is urging both sides to come to an out-of-court settlement.
