Police Urge Driver Caution as Kids Head Back to School

CHARLOTTE, NC — Classes are back in session for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Monday morning.  CMPD is reminding drivers to slow down and stay safe with all the children making their way to campus.

Every division will have extra officers in school zones in the morning and afternoon to remind people to be cautious.

“We’re all in a rush, we all have got things to do.  Slow down.  Lives depend on it,” said CMPD Lt. Thom Barry.
