CLOVER, S.C. — Police say they arrested a woman for smoking crack inside a car in front of three children.
Investigators were called to the parking lot of the Quick-E-Mart on North Main Street after someone witnessed Misty Wheaton allegedly smoking crack while children were in the car.
An officer arrived on the scene and said they saw Wheaton messing with something in her lap. The officer then noticed what appeared to be a white substance in her lap.
The officer asked the woman to step out of the vehicle. Officers searched the car and allegedly found crack and a metal pipe used for smoking crack.
The children were taken by a relative and Wheaton was charged with three counts of unlawful conduct towards a child, possession of crack, driving under substance, habitual offender and possession of drug paraphernalia.
