SHELBURNE FALLS, Mass. (AP) β Sexual assault allegations against Bill Cosby are making it increasingly difficult for locals in a quaint western Massachusetts town to ignore their most famous resident, even if they try.
Some shop owners in downtown Shelburne Falls say they’re weary of answering questions about the 78-year-old comedian, who they say never frequented their stores anyway.
Although many Shelburne Falls residents are reluctant to pass judgment, they find themselves pulled into the debate about Cosby as a growing chorus of women raises more allegations.
Most say they wouldn’t act any differently if they came across Cosby, who has steadfastly maintained his innocence and never been charged with a crime.
