State, Local Leaders Discuss Foreign Policy, Local Jobs

CHARLOTTE, NC — Local and state leaders met in Uptown Charlotte Monday to discuss foreign policy challenges facing our nation.

Senator Thom Tillis and Governor Pat McCrory spoke about how those challenges affect North Carolina jobs.  In 2013, the state exported more than $31 billion in goods and services to foreign markets.

Tillis and McCrory say trade supported more than 20 percent of jobs in North Carolina.
