STATESVILLE, NC– Iredell County Sheriffs say they arrested a man who sexually assaulted a minor over a six year period.
Authorities say the family of the victim reported the abuse to police, saying the sexual assaults occurred from 2009-2015.
The abuse reportedly occurred when the victim visited the suspect’s residence.
After information was gathered, detectives say the suspect, Michael Thomas Chambers, 65, was charged with 69 counts of first degree sexual offense with a child.
