Man Pleads Guilty to Mutilating, Killing Llama

MONROE, NC — One of three men accused of mutilating a Monroe family’s llama has pleaded guilty to animal cruelty.

A judge sentenced Alex Clark to at least six months in prison and ordered him to pay $2,500 in court costs and fines.

Police say Clark, Cody Bray and James Lee crossed the electric fence at Borderline Farms in January.  They’re accused of chasing, stabbing and gutting a llama named Mighty.
