
ALBERMARLE, N.C. — Police say they have arrested four people in a methamphetamine bust.
According to reports, Stanly County police were conducting a license checkpoint in Albemarle, North Carolina, when they noticed drug paraphernalia inside one of the vehicles.
After a closer inspection, police reportedly found substances that used to manufacture methamphetamine.
Officials say Douglas Mauldin, 22, Kaitlyn Overton, 21, Caroline Honbarrier, 21, and Jeffrey Reed, 39, were inside the vehicle when the substances were found. The suspects were reportedly taken to Stanly County Detention facility and will appear in court at a later date.
