Florida’s head football coach says he’s not proud of a sideline tirade that is now stirring up debate on social media. It all happened Saturday, when running back Kevin Taylor got a 15-yard penalty for making a throat-cutting gesture after a touchdown late in a game against East Carolina.
When Taylor got to the sideline, Jim McElwain laid into him in front of everyone. Later that night a video clip surfaced, capturing the audio and video.
Of course, people started slamming the coach online, saying he went too far. When asked about it at news conference, McElwain didn’t exactly apologize, but still said he regrets the outburst.
Which makes us wonder: Do you think the online outrage is an example of the wussification of America?
