House Catches Fire In Gastonia

GASTONIA, N.C. — Firefighters responded to an early morning house fire in Gastonia.

According to reports, the Gastonia Fire Department received notice of a structure on fire in Gastonia, North Carolina on Thursday morning.

Authorities say they arrived on the scene and observed a one story home with heavy fire coming from the rear and side. It reportedly took a total of 20 personnel and 5 apparatus to extinguish the flames.
 
An estimated $30,000 in damages was caused by the fire, with no injuries reported.
 
The occupants of the residence were not home at the time of the fire, according to reports. The Gastonia Fire Department Fire Marshal’s Office says they are investigating the cause of the fire.
