CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The question on everyone’s mind is whether or not Kuechly will be playing with the Panthers this Sunday.
According to ESPN, the Carolina Panthers have not yet made a final decision on whether to play middle linebacker Luke Kuechly on Sunday. However, the chances that he will play seem slim.
Kuechly is reportedly still in protocol since receiving a head injury in the first half of Sunday’s 20-9 victory at Jacksonville.
Kuechly has yet to be cleared by an independent physician, according to reports. Even if cleared, Rivera said if there is any doubt about Kuechly being ready, “We won’t play him.”
“We’ll get the answer tomorrow,” Rivera said Friday.
Carolina has expressed expressed confidence in backup linebacker A.J. Klein playing in place of Kuechly.
The Panthers will play the Texans this Sunday.
