CHARLOTTE, NC — Police are investigating a shooting that happened just before noon today on Nobles Avenue in West Charlotte.
The shooting happened in the 3100 block of Nobles Avenue near AG Discount Beverage. Witnesses say the man was crossing West Blvd when he was shot in the leg. Officials found him in a field between West Blvd and Nobles Ave, and he was transported to CMC with non-life threatening injuries.
Police have blocked off the area, and have K-9 units searching for casings from the weapon.
The name of the victim has not been released at this time.
