The Disney Store has changed its website to degender its Halloween costumes.
In the past, Disney reportedly promoted its Halloween costumes by identifying them as either girls’ costumes or boys’ costumes. But not anymore.
According to reports, the company has made a change to encourage children to choose from any of its Halloween costumes, regardless of their gender.
For Halloween this year, the company’s website is promoting costumes “for kids” and “for baby.” These categories include all costumes that had once been deemed appropriate for a specific gender.
Here is a photo of how the costumes are promoted on Disney’s website:

Disney has received both positive and negative feedback online for this change.
