BOONE, NC — Boone Police have arrested Randy Cribb, 59, after locating him at a campsite within 300 feet of a local elementary school.
Cribb, a registered sex offender, was located by Boone police after a school employee reported a man trespassing at Hardin Park Elementary around 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon. The employee said they had also located a campsite between the school and the New Market Shopping Center.
Police found Cribb after locating the campsite. Cribb arrested and charged with felonious violation of sex offender law by being within 300 feet of a school. Cribb was taken to a Watauga County Magistrate where he received a $15,000 bond.
His next court appearance is scheduled for November 23, 2015.
