ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) β Media ratings company Nielsen says it will reschedule the release of ratings data for the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater market.
Nielsen told customers about the delay Monday, just days after a radio host was accused of possible ratings tampering. The company said it was delaying the release to allow for completion of additional quality assurance steps.
Nielsen and Beasley Media said Friday they are investigating Bubba The Love Sponge Clem.
Nielsen calculates its ratings by putting listening devices resembling pagers on people.
Clem could not be reached for comment Monday. He told WTVT-TV he was unaware of the allegations and was off the air because he hurt himself in a fall.
Clem remained absent from the airwaves Monday. A “best of Bubba” show was aired.
