
ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — An NC father and son with a history of heroin related charges have been arrested again.
The two have reportedly been arrested on heroin distribution charges, following a joint investigation by the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, Kannapolis Police Department and the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.
According to reports, Zachary Todd Rumple, age 25, was arrested on March 20th on heroin trafficking charges. After Zachary’s arrest, investigators say they discovered that he was continuing to distributed heroin.
Investigators reportedly used undercover police officers and sources of information to purchase heroin from Zachary, as well as his father, Christopher Rumple, 47.
On Friday, September 25th, Investigators arrested both the father and son for the previous sales of heroin. Officials say they also siezed assorted handguns, ammunition, high powered rifles and shotguns, and a “hide-a-can” with plastic bags containing what appeared to be drug residue at the men’s home.
The two face multiple charges and have been placed in Rowan County Detention Center under a $500,000 secured bond, which he has since posted and been released.
