
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Charlotte has been canceled. The announcement was made Friday morning.
The Charlotte area is expected to receive 5-8″ of rain over the weekend from Hurricane Joaquin. This is first time the race has been canceled in it’s 19 years in Charlotte.
The Susan G. Komen Race wants you to know if you registered for the race or made a donation, thank you for your support. Please consider your registration fee a donation and be assured 75% of net funds raised are put to work right here in our 13 county service area while another 25% supports critical breast cancer research.
