CHARLOTTE, NC — Crews are still working to remove a fallen tree on Tyvola Road that damaged power lines and caused a three car accident.
The tree fell early this morning on Tyvola Road just west of Park Road. The tree damaged power lines and has been causing heavy delays.
Tree crews are on scene working to clear the road, but the westbound lanes of Tyvola Road heading towards South Boulevard remain closed.
Police say the tree was also responsible for a three car accident, but one of the drivers left the scene. They are currently trying to gather more information on the accident and the whereabouts of the missing driver.
