CHARLOTTE, N.C. — In 2014, Charlotte and Mecklenburg County accepted The Mayor’s Challenge to End Veteran’s Homelessness issued by First Lady Michelle Obama and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development .
The goal of the challenge is to end homelessness among all Veterans in Charlotte-Mecklenburg by December 31, 2015.
Now, as December approaches, Charlotte-Mecklenburg needs to house 204 more Veterans to reach its goal.
