Edge on Demand: Sweden is Working Less. Should We?

Emails. Phone calls. Meetings. Bosses. Working a full-time job can be tough, especially when it comes to the countless hours we spend at the office. According to Gallup’s annual work survey, the average American works 47 hours a week, and some people end up working much more than that, despite researchers telling us it’s bad for our health.

With this in mind, Sweden is moving towards a standard 6-hour work day, with some firms already jumping on board. Experts say a six-hour day increases productivity, because workers are able to stay on track. And the best part? Workers are happy! That’s because they’re spending more time at home, and less time at the office.
