CHARLOTTE, N.C. — SWAT Team arrived at a Charlotte apartment complex after a call about an assault with a deadly weapon.
Officers arrived at the apartment complex on Tuesday around 1:00 p.m. When they arrived, the victim told them that he met up with several people to conduct a drug deal.
During the transaction, the victim said he got frightened and ran from the scene. That’s when one of the suspects shot at him. He was not injured and called 911.
Officers were led to believe one of the suspects was inside the apartment, so members of the SWAT Team and K9 Units were called to the scene.
After several attempts to make contact with the suspect, the SWAT Team and K9 Units entered but did not locate anyone inside.
Police say this is an ongoing investigation.
