LENOIR, N.C. — Police say a man was killed after a tree he was cutting down struck him as it fell. Β The incident happened on Wright Street in Lenoir on Wednesday. Β
Michael Roark, the owner of Roark’s Tree Service, was pronounced dead at the scene after he was hit by the tree. Β He was 36-years-old. Β
