Rowan County Man Facing Serious Drug Charges

ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — Deputies say a trespassing call ended with a man facing serious drug charges in Rowan County.  

Investigators say the trespassing suspect, John Dunbar, was stopped by deputies while driving a vehicle with a fictitious tag on Johnson Dairy Road in Rockwell.  Dunbar also had a revoked license, according to investigators.  After Dunbar was taken into custody deputies searched his vehicle.  

During the search, deputies found digital scales and a safe.  Detectives got a search warrant and found 301 grams of meth, several prescription drugs, syringes and plastic bags inside the safe.  

Dunbar has been charged with trafficking meth, five counts of possess with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver Sch II, III and IV controlled substances, one count of maintaining a vehicle for keeping and selling controlled substances and four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
