BOONE, N.C. — Police are asking for the public’s help after someone stole an ambulance. Investigators say a Watauga Medics ambulance was taken from Kid Brewer Stadium on the campus of Appalachian State University Thursday evening.
The ambulance was seen traveling south on NC 105 near Poplar Grove Road south. A short time later, officers located the ambulance abandoned at The Cottages of Boone.
A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for this crime. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 828-268-6959.
