Investigators Discover 7000+ Stolen Guns in Pageland Home

PAGELAND, SC – Deputies have seized more than 7000 guns, plus ammunition, and other stolen goods from a man’s home in Chesterfield County.

“You look around, you’ll see that this is a hub where thieves bring their weapons that they’ve stolen,” explains Union County, NC Sheriff Eddie Cathey.

A search warrant led deputies to the home on  Highway 9 just inside Pageland city limits.

Brent Nicholson is charged in connection with hoarding the thousands of stolen guns. He also faces several drug charges.

Deputies became suspicious when he was pulled over during a traffic stop Wednesday in Union County, NC.

“Found a lot of weapons, drugs,” Cathey explains.

Investigators believe Nicholson bought the guns and other items after they were stolen from people in surrounding counties.

They say it will take a long time to sort through all they’ve found.

“We’re just glad to get all these guns, you know, that have been stolen and this property. And hopefully over the next months, cause it’s gonna take months to sort it all out, but we can get a lot of people’s stolen property returned to them,” says Chesterfield County, SC Sheriff Jay Brooks.
