Steelers’ Running Back DeAngelo Williams Fined For Uniform Violation

Former Carolina Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams has been fined by the NFL for allegedly violating the league’s uniform guidelines.

Williams had “Find the Cure” written on the eye black he worn under his eyes during the Steelers game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Williams was apparently fined $5,787 by the NFL.  Williams mother died from breast cancer in 2014.

Another player, Steelers cornerback William Gay, was also fined.  He reportedly wore purple cheats during a game to honor his mother, who was a victim of domestic violence.

Both players say they violated the guidelines to raise awareness.
